RALLY CONNEX OFF-ROAD TRAINING WITH CHRIS

BIRCH

ONTARIO & QUEBEC CLASSES

CHRIS BIRCH COACHING
Rally Connex is pleased to announce the return of exclusive Off-Road training classes with the legendary Red Bull / KTM rider Chris Birch. Classes will consist of 12 riders working one on one with Chris Birch, covering a wide array of off-road motorcycle riding techniques. This is an opportunity of a life time! There are multiple dates and many locations to choose from. Classes will be held through out southern Ontario Canada. The Level 1 and Level 2 classes are for made for all Enduro, Dual sport & Big Bike Adventure Touring motorcycles. Class lengths will be approximately 6.5 hours from morning to afternoon. Once registered, location address will be released to you along with class times. Blue or green plated bikes are welcome. All levels of riders welcome. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Limited spaces available, register today!

ROCK HOUND RALLY ENDURO CLASS
Friday Aug 23 of the Rock Hound Rally in Cloyne Ontario, Chris Will be hosting a Level 1 Enduro Class. The class will meet at the start location of the Rock Hound Rally. Loons Call Campground & Cottage Resort at 8am and head out to various riding locations for the days class. Then return back to get ready to ride Ontario's Greatest Rally the next day! You do not have to attend the Rock Hound Rally to be a part of this class. Class price does not include the rally entry fee.

ROCK HOUND RALLY ADVENTURE CLASS
Sunday Aug 25 of the Rock Hound Rally in Cloyne Ontario, Chris Will be hosting a Level 1 Adventure Class the next day after the Rally. DIRT RIDING DAMES
Saturday Aug 31 Stephanie Yankovich or Dirt Riding Dames have teamed up with Rally Connex to bring you the first all female Chris Birch Level 1 class. Located in the Ganaraska Forest just south of Peterborough Ontario. Don't miss this opportunity to go for a great riding class with like minded ladies.

CALABOGIE
Friday Sept 6 Rally Connex is having a Calabogie Class. Why not come out and take a world class session with Chris and then ride the the famous Calaboogie Boogie the next day!

CLASS DISCRIPTIONS

Level 1
We often try to split the groups into 'Beginner/Intermediate' and 'Intermediate/Advanced'. Don't worry - you won't miss out on any content of the course, we just try and group similar skill level riders together to get the best flow for the day and to keep things safe. If you prefer to take things easy and speed is not your main focus, then a beginner/intermediate day would be best for you. If you want to get on the throttle more and focus on building speed go for intermediate/advanced.

Level 2
This is a course we have developed at the request of riders after completing the Level 1 course. It's a follow up course that you can do once you've done the Level 1 course and had time to practice some of the techniques. This course looks at more technical / harder skills you can learn. These courses are classed as 'Advanced'

Adventure coaching clinic
Learn the techniques needed to safely take adventure bikes off road and to explore further. These clinics are self paced, if you want to safely use your adventure bike for gravel roads or use it like an Enduro bike in some nasty terrain this clinic will help you greatly. Big bike friendly!

Topics Covered
- setting up an adventure bike for off road use

- correct body positioning and posture for seated and standing riding
- cornering techniques for loose surfaces
- exercises to increase control and balance
- hill climbing and descending and how to get out of trouble on hills
- maneuvering a heavy bike safely and efficiently
- line selection and coping with different ground conditions including sand
- These clinics are based around dirt roads and fire trails

CHRIS BIRCH BIO

Chris has been coaching riders since 2007 and has run coaching schools through South America, Canada, South Africa as well as New Zealand. He has an advantage to his coaching as he has a wide knowledge and experience base to share with his students.

Chris completed the 2012 Dakar Rally, has won Red Bull Romaniacs, 3 time winner of The Roof of Africa, finished top 10 in Erzberg 3 times, won the South African overall National Enduro championship in 2011, 2012 Corduroy Enduro 1st place winner and is a 5 times NZ National Enduro overall champion. He is a top performer in enduro racing, and has been coaching riders since 2007. He coaches riders in trail, enduro, adventure, and extreme riding.

Chris focuses on helping his clients get the most out of their riding – whether this is to improve performance and placing in competition, to beat their friends, or simply to get the most enjoyment from the weekend’s riding.
Getting the right techniques and improving your skills will let you get a lot more enjoyment out of your riding. You’ll be able to ride faster, longer and use a lot less energy and be much safer.

Chris tailors his training classes to suit the needs and skill levels of his class. Some topics Chris will be covering are:

• Basic bike set up, with correct seated and standing riding positions
• How to use the clutch, throttle and brakes effectively
• Cornering techniques for various terrains
• Picking good lines
• Logs, bogs, roots, up hills, down hills, sand, whoops, and river crossing’s
