Dacre OVERLAND Challenge

Dacre Overland Rally

Date: July 10 - 14/ 2024

The EVENT
NEW FOR 2024 Rally Connex has upgraded the Dacre to a 5-day event. The Dacre Rally is a GPS-guided event that runs up to 750km in a 21-hour time frame with a Prologue starting position event and vehicle Show and Shine. With multiple classes to choose from, Gold, Silver, Bronze & Iron. Each class represents the difficulty based on mileage and terrain covered. Neither speed nor time is factored into the results of the GPS-guided 21-hour portion of the event. Racing is not what this event is all about. It's simply completing the prescribed route in its entirety with the best accuracy possible. However, the Prologue is held on a closed course and will be timed to determine your starting position for the 21-hour challenge the following day. Complete this event and be among the few esteemed riders to hold that accomplishment. Do you have what it takes to survive the "Longest Day"

This event is a "Challenge Concept Event". Open to On-road and off-road plated and insured motorcycles. This includes Enduro, Dual Sport & Adventure Motorcycles. (See class and bike qualifications below) This is not a day tour, it's all about personal and bike preparation, machine reliability, self-sufficiency, teamwork, planning and navigation. It is considered a level 5 out of 5 on our difficulty scale. Be aware that you will be relying on your support team and yourself to take care of any problems that may arise. Rally Connex will only be assisting in extreme emergencies. You are responsible for providing your own logistics if you leave the event for any reason. The entire route will be overseen by our crew via checkpoints, sweepers and GPS Tracking.

The start and finish of the event will take place at the same location. Team support vehicles can have a home base to dispatch out of if required. Yamaha Canada SXS Demo rides hosted on the Friday and a Kids Ride on the Thursday Show & Shine event. For full details please continue reading below.

To participate in this event.

EACH COMPETITOR HAS TO MANAGE THEIR OWN EMERGENCIES OR BREAKDOWNS. (Leave no rider alone or behind!).

A riders map will be provided containing emergency contact phone numbers, hospitals, support vehicle locations etc.  Teams suffering a terminating bike mechanical failure, rider injury or running extremely late are required to inform the ride "help line" the phone numbers will be provided on the "Riders Card". There is an absolute requirement to know the whereabouts of any entrant. If necessary, call 911 and request police, fire, ambulance etc.
Due to the long overall distance, riders/teams will be required to maintain a reasonable average speed without breaking any Ontario Highway traffic acts. This requirement is for basic safety as long sections of the later part of this ride may need to be ridden in the dark.
